Description
Minoz is Sun Pharma's branded minocycline capsule — a second-generation tetracycline with superior lipophilicity and tissue penetration compared to doxycycline. Used for acne when doxycycline is ineffective or not tolerated. Less photosensitising than doxycycline but carries risk of pigmentation and vestibular effects.

- Moderate-to-severe inflammatory acne
- Acne unresponsive to doxycycline
- Rosacea
Dosage
50–100mg twice daily for 6–12 weeks. Take with food.

Side Effects
- Dizziness and vertigo (vestibular effects)
- Blue-grey skin pigmentation (long-term use)
- GI upset
- Drug-induced lupus (rare)
- Hepatotoxicity (rare)
Warnings
- Contraindicated in children <8 years
- Avoid in pregnancy
- Monitor for vestibular symptoms (dizziness)
- Long-term use can cause blue-grey pigmentation
- Limit duration to minimise resistance
